Happy anniversary to The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, released July 23, 1982. Although I never quite got into this film, it comes from Colin Higgins, who directed some of my favorites including Nine To Five and Foul Play.
A lot of the exteriors were shot at this house, located at 16422 Cameron Road in Pflugerville, Texas.
This house is just down the road from the home used in Texas Chains Massacre: The Next Generation.
Visitors to Universal Studios will recognize they built a replica of the house for some filming.
Scenes were also shot at the Texas Capitol at 1100 Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas.
This matte painting is up for auction and shows how they extended the set even more for some shots.
