Bewitched (1964)

Today, Bewitched is celebrating it’s 60th anniversary, premiering on ABC on September 17, 1964. I grew up on this show watching it on many reruns and Elizabeth Montgomery still has a special place in my heart.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to visit the Warner Bros. Ranch several years ago by the fan club for Scarecrow and Mrs. King. During that time, we were able to visit the many houses on the lot, including the Bewitched house. It had surprisingly stayed nearly identical over the decades compared to many other houses on backlots. Unfortunately, the entire ranch has now been demolished.

The façade was based on a real house, but the production flipped it when constructing it on the lot. That house is located at 267 18th Street in Santa Monica, California.

I’m pretty sure the house behind them is actually the house now next door to Stephen’s house and is best known for it’s appearances in Lethal Weapon and the neighbor’s house in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

I’m not 100% sure, but guessing the Kravitz house is this house best known for its use in Scarecrow and Mrs. King, The Partridge Family, and Life Goes On.
