Today marks the 35th anniversary for the release of COBRA starring Sylvester Stallone. I’ve been to a few of the locations over the years but hope to do a complete visit sometime soon.
The grocery store was located at 2701 Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Redondo Beach, California. Although much has changed, Winchell’s Donuts is still there!
His apartment is located at 5 Westminster Avenue in Venice, California.
Update: The Mugs Up coffee shop was located at 2232 Enterprise Street in Los Angeles… not the best shots here, but also not the best part of town…
Part of the chase takes place in the Venice canal bridges.
The often used Rock Star was also featured in this film and is located at 30354 Mulholland Highway in Cornell, California.
Piru, California was the setting for the small town. It has been used in countless films such as Twilight Zone: The Movie, Silent Night Deadly Night Part III, Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday, War of the Worlds, and much more.
You won’t find the Cross Roads Motel, it was a façade created for the film. But this area was recently used in I Am The Night.
