Laurie Strode’s new house was found as soon as shooting took place. It is located at 1206 East Duffy Street in Savannah. For simplicity sake, I will put all the day shots of this location on this page.
The exterior was painted red for the movie, but may not remain that way for long.
As you can see, the owners are working on restoring the porch to better match the period of the house. I added a few behind-the-scenes shots here as well.
As a reminder to fans, pictures from the sidewalk and public areas are fine, but please treat the property with respect and distance. I was very fortunate to get permission from the owners to take additional pictures on the property and inside the house to share with Halloween fans. A big THANK YOU to Reid & Jenn for letting me into their beautiful home.
While the main floor was built as a set, they used the upper floor for many location shots including Laurie’s office. The distinctive wallpaper was put up by the production.
We also get a quick shot of Allyson’s bedroom, but we’ll return to that later. Plus I added a behind-the-scenes-shot.
Later in the film, Laurie hears the rumbling of the motorcycle and sees Corey staring at the house.
Laurie runs out the door, but doesn’t see him. (Fun fact: for Halloween night in 2022, they decorated their porch the same way Laurie did in the movie!)
Laurie is startled by Corey behind her…
This is a favorite moment of mine for Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie….
Some behind the scenes shots…
