Today marks the 35th anniversary of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, first released on August 9, 1985. Below are several of the locations I have visited over the years.
The Tour de France begans on Mulholand Highway in Calabasas, California.
The race ends at the King Gillette Ranch 26800 West Mulholland Highway in Calabases.
Pee-Wee’s house is located at 1848 Oxley Street in South Pasadena. This is right next to iconic Halloween locations.
Pee Wee rides through this North Hollywood Park.
The next scene takes place at the corner of Milan and Oxley in South Pasadena, right next to the house used in Waitress.
Francis’ house is at 401 South Hudson Place, right next to the Maid To Order house.
Pee-Wee walks in the rain through this alley at Warner Bros. Studios. This spot is used a lot including Annie and Purple Rain.
Pee-Wee walks to the psychic, which is right next to the mogwai shop in Gremlins.
Pee-Wee hitchhikes on The Old Road in Newhall, California.
Just up the way is the fork in the road where Pee-Wee just misses his bike.
There are just a couple shots of the actual Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.
The interiors of the Alamo were shot at Mission San Fernando Rey, at 15151 San Fernando Mission Boulevard in Mission Hills, California.
The gift shop entrance is the actual gift shop entrance!

The bus terminal is located at the Grant Central Air Terminal located at 1310 Air Way in Glendale, California.
The bar was located at 17529 Sierra Highway in Canyon Country, California.
