Today marks the anniversary for yet another unnecessary remake, this time of 1980’s Prom Night. They could have had a lot of fun with this one, but instead it adds nothing new to the genre. I think it takes place in Oregon (?) but is mostly shot in Los Angeles and South Pasadena, of course.
The opening house is located at 1947 Oak Street in South Pasadena, California.
We have several areas in proximity to Halloween; the therapist office is at 1019 El Centro Street in South Pasadena, just a few blocks from some iconic Haddonfield locations.
In fact, the Myers’ house makes an appearance in the film while the girls are getting their hair done at the corner of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue in South Pasadena.
The family house is at 1199 Wentworth Avenue in Pasadena, just a couple blocks from the Langham Huntington.

The police station was shot at the often-filmed 635 Mateo Street in Los Angeles. Horror fans will also recognize this as the orphanage from Child’s Play 2.
The prom was shot at the former Park Plaza Hotel located at 507 South Park View Street in Los Angeles.
