Today marks the 30th anniversary since the premiere of My So-Called Life. Only lasting one season, it had an enormous impact on the generation and launched the careers of Clare Danes and Jared Leto. Fans were clamoring for more, but who knows if it would have held up to expectations?
A different house was used in the pilot but for the rest of the season, the house used is located at 1110 Glendon Way in South Pasadena, California. This house is used quite a bit for filming, most noticeably in Rob Zombie’s Halloween in 2007.
The pilot episode begins by this old-fashioned phone booth, which still exists. This is in the covered alley area at 380 S Lake Avenue in Pasadena.
