Suburbicon premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2017; and would be released wide in the U.S. on October 27th. I didn’t catch the film in the theatres, but was pleasantly surprised by this George Clooney directed film. You can rarely go wrong with Julianne Moore. These locales were somewhat difficult to track down, but visited them back in 2018 - long before some of the addresses were published.
The Mayers house is located at 1325 West Ash Avenue in Fullerton, California.
Although it is supposed to be behind the Mayer’s house, the Gardner house is in a completely different area, located at 19720 Dunbrooke Avenue in Carson, California.
The funeral scene was shot at Mountain View Cemetery located at 2400 North Fair Oaks Avenue in Altadena, California.
The bus stop was shot at the corner of South Basque Avenue and West Ash Avenue in Fullerton, California.
The Karger’s Grocery Store was shot at a former J.C. Penney store located at 1140 San Fernando Road in San Fernando, California.
The beauty salon was shot on the other side of the store on Celis Street.
They used several spots in Valley Plaza for the shopping centers, businesses, and more. Located on Sylvan Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard in North Hollywood, this former shopping center is used quite frequently and may be best known as the “Blockbuster” location in Captain Marvel.
