Today marks the anniversary of Big Momma’s House, released June 2, 2000. I honestly don’t know why I have all these locations for this film, but here goes!
Big Momma’s house is at 192 North Shaffer Street i Orange, California.
The surveillance house across the street is at 195 North Shaffer Street.
Just down the block is the town square…. errr, circle, also in Orange, California. This has been used in numerous films including The Stepford Children and American Pie 3: The Wedding.
The very recognizable Bates Motel at Universal Studios was the Cactus Motel in the movie.
The basketball scene was shot at Nibley Park at 1103 East Mountain Street in Glendale, California.
The often-used Franklin Canyon Reservoir Park was the setting for the fishing scene.
Also often used is the United Methodist Church at 3875 Center Street in Piru, California.
